The national childhood obesity rate at 18.5% and rising, and Childhood Type II Diabetes is reaching unprecedented levels. Our youth are still spending too much time with their electronics and not enough time being active, and participation in youth sports has dropped 5% just in the last few years too. Our approach is not just about combating childhood obesity, it’s also about helping kids experience fitness in a fun way so they’re more likely to stay active as they age.
Our Kid-Fit classes are an hour long and are jam-packed with cool music and foundational fitness moves and fun games. We also scheduled kid’s exercise classes to overlap with adult class times, so you can take a class yourself or drop your kids off and head out for a little guilt-free adult time to run an errand or two (or just nap in the car). Going to the gym with your kid(s) is a great way to lead by example while helping children learn the importance of fitness at an early age, and also creating an opportunity to do something positive together.
Our kid’s fitness program has two age groups, 5–8 and 9–12. Our amazing coaches know how to keep the kids engaged while making fitness fun, so they don’t get bored and want to keep coming back for more. There is absolutely no experience necessary, since our highly-training coaches can modify or adjust where needed. Each class starts with a fun warmup before the kids are broken into stations and obstacle courses. Our skilled coaches combine fun music with kickboxing, core work, yoga, circuit training, tumbling, and so much more, keeping the kids moving and distracted so they forget they are exercising and focus on having a good time and making friends. Our coaches know how to match the mood and energy of the class, so all kids leave feeling great!
