Yoga Classes

SIN Fitness offers many styles of yoga...

Power Yoga is a 45-minute fitness-based Vinyasa practice. This class focuses on building internal heat, increasing stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as reducing stress.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga will keep you moving! You’ll flow continuously through strong sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement and build strength and endurance as you push the edge of your balance and flexibility. Your hard work will be rewarded by incorporating nourishing stretching and deep meditation within the Vinyasa Yoga class.

Stretchy Stretch Gentle / Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release. This combined with a gentle practice will help get your body out of stress mode, release tension, calm the nervous system, gain clearer thinking, and restore overall balance to body, mind and soul.

More about Yoga…

If you’re new to yoga you may not know where to start. No need to worry, SIN Fitness loves yoga newbies, and we will take good care of you, teaching all you need to know from wherever your starting point is. Regardless of your age, weight, or fitness level, all you need is a desire to try it!

Can’t touch your toes? No problem, yoga will loosen you up. Weak upper body? Perfect, yoga will build your strength, progressively at your own pace. Don’t know your tadasana from your savasana? Don’t worry, at SIN Fitness our amazing yoga teachers will speak English and give you plenty of specific, expert instruction so you’ll never feel lost.

One of the most obvious benefits of yoga is improved flexibility. If you’re new to yoga, it’s best not to expect that you’ll be touching your toes or doing backbends in your first class. But if you choose to stick with it, you’ll gradually loosen up, and before you know it, poses that seemed impossible at one point will become possible. You may soon notice that aches and pains start to disappear, and that’s no coincidence. If you have tight hips, you may notice knee pain due to improper alignment of the thigh and shinbones. Back pain? Tight hamstrings can flatten your nice neutral lumbar curve which can cause back pain. Inflexibility in muscles and connective tissue, such as fascia and ligaments, can cause poor posture as well.

Our Sin Fitness yoga teachers are highly trained, so relax and enjoy, you’ll be in good hands.
