Suzanne Kinney, RYT
I’m a certified yoga teacher specializing in Kundalini yoga, gentle flow, and Yin yoga. My aim is to offer students techniques that raise their energy and increase self-awareness through pranayama (breath techniques), mudra (hand positions), asana (postures), mantra, meditation, and deep relaxation. I enjoy teaching to all levels by explaining postures and offering modifications that accommodate our unique bodies and abilities. Over the past 10+ years, yoga has become integral to my overall physical and emotional wellbeing. My daily practice keeps me grounded, uplifted, and present. I have both experienced and witnessed the profound effects yoga can have on the body and mind when practiced regularly. Prior to yoga, my mindset was that if I didn’t sweat, I wouldn’t be getting a workout. But after years of running and pounding my joints, I knew I needed a change, and yoga came my way. I’ve learned that yoga is a perfect complement to high-intensity and weight bearing exercises by restoring, healing, and bringing our bodies into balance (yin & yang). If I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me in a SIN Fitness group class, hiking, walking, or snowshoeing. I’m thrilled and proud to be part of the S.I.N. Fitness team! |
