As many of you know my mom passed away last November from a brief and courageous battle with cancer. In August my sister Alicia will be riding in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) in honor of my mother and others who have been affected by cancer. She will bike 166 miles through Cape Cod. The PMC’s mission is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to Dana-Farber.
My sister Alicia is riding for our mom, Margaret Guarino. The world lost the most beautiful soul on November 30, 2022. Having been diagnosed only three months prior, she fought a valiant battle against stage 4 Melanoma. We were all blessed to have her as long as we did. Our mom had four passions in her life: her faith, her family, her friends, and her Boston Red Sox. Known for her red hair she exuded beauty and grace. She was as kind as she was beautiful. To know her was to love her. Our hearts are broken.

Our family is a proud supporter of the Pan Mass Challenge because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Our mother was treated at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and together with your check-ins we can help other families who need treatment and care.
