Member of the Month for December is Tricia Burnham!  Tricia encourages everyone around her in classes. She has incredible self discipline, getting up at 4:30 AM three times a week, to make it to the 5 AM classes throughout the school year. She takes a variety of classes from Bootcamps, Kick-Fit, to Rock N Rows, and more. She isn’t afraid to be pushed out of her comfort zone and use heavier weights. How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?

I’m not exactly sure, but I think it’s been since June 2019! It is definitely the longest I’ve even been at a gym.

Do you remember your first workout?

I do! It was a Friday night at the old place and Alisha was coaching. It was a workout where you worked with a partner and both started doing something different for five minutes then down to one and back to five. Emily was my partner! I loved the workout and vibe so much that I signed up for the Saturday 7am class when I got home!

How would you describe you lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?

Before SIN I was always trying something new to lose weight. I was not focusing on strength or any other benefits of exercise. I was inconsistent, at best, with any gym or workout program I was trying. I’m happy with my lifestyle now. I am continuing to work on a balance of everything. I like working out “because I can”. I love feeling physically and mentally stronger after every class. Since having two daughters, and two nieces, it’s been a goal of mine to be a role model and show them how important it is to do things for your body.

If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?

It would definitely be a weird combination of a YGIG and stations where a burpee station moves the class. The workout would NOT have KB swings, hollow holds, or rocket lunges. It would be full of all different kinds of burpees, snatches, and donkey kicks. It might also take place at 5am! The room would have great energy and be filled with some powerful members lifting each other up!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?

Do it!! It was the best decision I’ve made for myself. Not only do I benefit from working out, but everyone in my life benefits from me being a member at SIN. If you’re thinking about it, here’s your sign to make it happen! I’ll join you at your first class! I really like 5ams 😊 The hardest part is getting yourself through the front doors. From there, the coaches, workouts, members, and owners make you want to continue to show up!
