Members of the Month for February are Aneta and Darren Andros!! How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?

 

Aneta-

I joined SIN in June 2020 so pretty much when we were able to leave the house again... lol

 

Darren-

I joined SIN almost 2 years ago - 1 year and 9 months so far!

 

Do you remember your first workout?

 

Aneta-

It was a Bootcamp with Nicole at the old location. I learned how to do push-up negatives pretty quickly and thought working out outside was one of the best experiences ever.

 

Darren-

It was KickFit with Antoine. He was really nice and took the time to explain everything to me.

 

How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?

 

Aneta-

Before SIN, I did attend a gym with group classes but I found myself feeling lost most days since there was little direction. I ultimately left that gym and mostly walked my neighborhood. My evenings were spent driving my girls around and I was too tired for my own stuff before the day would end.

 

And now? Fitness is a priority in my life. I attend 4-5 classes a week and find myself with enough energy to do "me" things. I feel stronger, my mental health has improved tremendously and I'm much more mindful of properly fueling my body. The cool part is when my girls ask about my classes and we talk about being healthy; I know I'm a role model for them and they can reflect when they're older that if mom can do it, so can they :)

 

Darren-

Before SIN, there was no fitness in my life. I worked a job that was physically demanding and required long hours. I just too tired to do much after work.

Since joining SIN, I find myself looking forward to my KF class and seeing my impact score changes. The SIN challenges helped me lose weight I didn't think I could lose by teaching me how to view food differently. Overall, I have more energy, more confidence in myself and I've met some amazing people. 

 

If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?

 

Aneta-

I love partner work so definitely a YGIG probably in a skills & drills kickfit format mixed with HIIT- bag work, weights, cardio, agility... my heaven!

 

Darren-

A KickFit class that had tons of freestyle mixed in with core work. And, maybe add a tabata focusing on various punches.

 

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?

 

Aneta-

Like Nike says - just do it! This is such a supportive community that is filled with coaches and members that will quickly become your friends and biggest cheerleaders. We all wear different hats throughout our day, but when you're at SIN, you are just you without judgment. Push through the fear of the unknown and come meet this wonderful community!

 

Darren-

My advice to someone thinking about joining SIN is don't be scared to try something new. Just walk through the door and stick with it. You'll see the changes in your health and fitness level quickly. SIN has the best coaches to guide you and the members help make the classes fun and celebrate your accomplishments with you.
