Member of the Month for March 2024 is Lora Cortez!!

Member of the Month for March is Lora Cortez.  Lora has been at SIN Fitness for almost 3 years.  In those three years she has made so much progress!!  When she first started she struggled with body awareness and movement patterns.  With determination and taking time with coaches she has improved tremendously.  This past December, she stepped out of her comfort zone and completed her first Hell Week.  She frequents bootcamp classes and it shows through her results.  She’s been improving her form, increasing weights, and gaining confidence she didn’t have when she first started! How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?
I started with SIN July 2021 so I have been a member for almost 3 years!

Do you remember your first workout?
I started at SIN because of Jennifer Kern. She told me about the gym during a conversation we were having in the parking lot  after picking up our kids at summer camp. I’ll never forget my 1st work out with Jennifer and Heather Breen. Both took the time to work with me and account of my inexperience and heart condition. After that 1st workout, I knew SIN was the gym for me. Everyone is so welcoming and encouraging and helped motivate me to come back.  At SIN we aren’t just work partners, we are all friends!

How would you describe you lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?
My life style before SIN was completely different then its is now.  My idea of working out was taking a walk or maybe trying to work out at home watching an exercise video not taking health and fitness seriously.  I never thought it was possible to look and feel the way I do now.   I have a new level of confidence and achieving fitness goals I never thought were possible! Fitness is now a big priority in my life to ensure I remain healthy not only for myself but for my family as well. 

If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
If I can design my perfect work out if would be anything that does not include the bike lol!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?
My advice to someone starting SIN is to not give up and make the time to make fitness a part of your life. If I can do it, you can too! At SIN, we are all here to motivate and support each other to become our best selves.  You will not find a gym more welcoming or supporting than SIN!
