Member of the Month for May 2024 is Katie Wacht!!

Congratulations to our Member of the Month for May, Katie WachtπŸ‘πŸŒŸ!! Katie first joined SIN Fitness in 2018, took a break during covid, and then returned in 2022. We're thrilled to have her back because since her return, she's become an integral part of our SIN community. Katie's commitment and progress are truly inspiring. She participated in her first Team Comp this past year and absolutely crushed it. Recently, Katie achieved PRs, hitting 200lbs for 3 reps on her Back Squat and 215lbs on her deadlift. Her dedication to not only her own goals but also supporting her workout buddies is admirable.

We love seeing Katie set ambitious goals and then surpass them. She's a shining example of what hard work and dedication can achieve. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and can't wait to see what else she'll achieve in her fitness journey. How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?

I started in 2018 I believe at the old SIN location. I left during COVID and returned in August 2022.


Do you remember your first workout?

My first workout was a kickboxing class at the old SIN location. I had bought a Groupon with some friends as something new to try and was instantly hooked!! Everyone was so warm and welcoming and I knew I had made the best choice in joining SIN. I loved taking the 12 round kick-fit classes and then moved from kickboxing to taking my first 5am bootcamp class with Alisha and going regularly on Tuesday mornings building amazing relationships with so many SIN members!!


How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?

My lifestyle before SIN was very inconsistent. I was a member of various gym locations and also had worked with various trainers and was never consistent and never seeing the results I was looking for while never really knowing what workouts I should do best suited for my body. I was constantly yo-yo dieting and trying all the latest diet fads that never worked for me. After joining SIN I always look forward to attending classes and I love seeing the results of my hard work and how my body looks and feels. Lifting heavier and learning new workouts that are best for my body is such a great feeling.


If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be?

My perfect workout would be a mixture of back squats, deadlifts, & upper body. Similar to a power hour class, lots of lifting :)


What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?

The advice I would give would be to have an open mind and positive outlook. It may be a little nerve racking especially if you haven’t experienced a gym like SIN before, but all the knowledge, strength and fun you will have will be so worth it!
