Check in for Charity: The Sunshine Fund

The Sunshine Fund was created in honor of Noelle Starr Arpin, niece of our very own coach, Rob Arpin. The fund supports families struggling with infant / child loss and illness.

September 13, 2024, will mark 9 years since Noelle's birthday. Due to complications with her birth, Noelle was only with us for a week. Rob's family tries to keep her memory alive in different ways, big and small. Sometimes she inspires the songs Rob chooses to play for all of you in class and every year, she is the inspiration for his star themed classroom. She is the girl who made me him an uncle and continues to be such a light in his life.

One of the biggest ways her memory lives on is through this non-profit that Rob's brother, Kevin and sister-in-law Carly, created in order to turn their pain into purpose. The Sunshine Fund was launched in 2021 and was intended to help families who have to deal with infant and child loss. They provide support to families through "sunshine kits" and memory pieces from everlasting stitch, a local small business. They also fund a scholarship for UConn students choosing to pursue NIC-U nursing.

Please help us and Rob in raising money towards this wonderful organization by checking in on Facebook for the next 2 months. Every check in SIN Fitness will donate 50c. You check-in and we make a donation, that is it!
