Member of the Month goes to Amy Swabby! Amy has been a dedicated member at SIN since 2020, and her progress has been nothing short of amazing. She has lost over 60 lbs, including 15 lbs just this summer! At the start of summer, Amy challenged herself to attend 60 classes, she crushed it clearly paid off. Her commitment to fitness shows—she’s pushing herself harder in classes, using heavier weights, and truly embracing her fitness journey. We’re beyond thrilled to be part of your journey, Amy, and incredibly proud of all you’ve achieved! ❤️💪💥🥊🏋🏻♀️💪❤️ #memberofthemonth #sinnerforlife #sinfitfam #sinstrong #momstrong #juststong #kickfitct #kickfit #dedication #sinfit #sinfitness #berlinct #itsallinberlin
How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness? I joined in December 2020.
Do you remember your first workout? My first class was Triple A and Emily was coaching. I joined during Hell Week, so there was only one other person in the class with me. I was so sore
How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now? I was a regular gym goer all through my 20s...depending on where I lived/what gym I belonged to I would mainly do cardio and whatever classes were offered. However, after having my son in 2016 and my daughter in 2017 I stopped working out on any sort of regular or consistent basis. Working full-time and parenting two young children is hard, and like many parents I put my own needs on the back burner...I worked out maybe a dozen times total over five years. In December 2020 I drove by SIN after going to Job Lot, looked it up online, got my free week trial, tried a few more classes, and signed up. Sometimes of the year are busier than others so I may only make it to a couple of classes a week, but I haven't stopped showing up. I have lost over 60 lbs. since joining, and absolutely consider working out to be a privilege (despite my complaining in the moment)
If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be? I love the variety of classes at SIN and one of the things that keeps me coming is that I don't have to come up with my own workouts. However, I do love a good station workout with a built-in rest...and no burpees!
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness? People always say, "If I can do it anyone can" but I really mean it. The entire community is so supportive and I have met so many wonderful people and made new friends since joining. Give it a try!
