How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?
I started in March 2022 when the world was getting back to normal, kudos to everyone who worked out in a mask, but that was not for me!
Do you remember your first workout?
I think my first class was AAA with Emily, there was box jumps in the workout and she came over and told me to think about landing softly, I still think that every time I do them.
How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?
In a previous life I was active in similar type of gym, classes and training - but I had hip surgery, and never made it back to where I was pre-procedure, I tried to get back into working out but was discouraged how much I had declined, many excuses and a global pandemic later, later I never went back to the gym. Fast forward to February 2022, my husband and I were flying home from a trip, had to run to catch our connecting flight and I thought I was going to die, that was a major turning point for me, realizing I needed to start taking better care of myself. I came to SIN, started with a 8 class a month membership, quickly upgraded to unlimited and haven't looked back. I am stronger than I've ever been and more coordinated. I jokingly tell my friends I'm in the middle of a major 'glow up'; but I am honestly feeling like the best version of myself, physically and mentally.
If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be?
My perfect workout would be a chipper style, or anything where once you finish a movement you don't have to come back to it! I love bootcamp format where you can see improvement in weight/reps/time week to week.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?
My advice to anyone thinking of joining SIN would be, what do you have to lose? It's an investment in yourself and you are worth it!
