How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?
Both: 3 years. Megan joined in fall of 2021 and Phil joined at the end of the year.
Do you remember your first workout?
Megan: It was an afternoon bootcamp with a lot of box jumps (which you know, I love), mountain climbers and kettlebell work. I had been without a gym home for a few months and was instantly hooked. I remember being SO sore in the days following my first workout.
Phil: I do not remember the exact workout, but it was a boot camp. My first class and first week was Hell Week of 2021.
How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?
Both: We have always been an active couple. During COVID we moved and struggled to find a local gym that was a good fit. Once we found SIN, it felt like home. We really like the variety of classes that are offered. Since joining SIN, we continue to be active. We are often outside with the dogs, and have been to numerous National Parks hiking and exploring as well.
If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
Megan: I like a challenging EMOM. Something with a barbell complex, box jumps and maybe a row.
Phil: Rowing with a barbell complex; 20 min AMRAP.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?
Megan: SIN has something for everyone of all fitness levels. Like anything, the hardest part is showing up. Through injuries and pregnancy, SIN has been so flexible in allowing me to modify workouts as needed (or desired). The coaches really just want you to do your personal best, whatever that looks like at the time.
Phil: Stay consistent and get to know the coaches and others. Makes the experience that much better and you’ll get more out of it
