🎉 Member of the Month: Pam Penna Verrillo! 🎉

Pam has been showing up and putting in the work since September 2022, and the transformation she’s made both physically and mentally has been truly impressive. You’ll often find her crushing it in Kick-Fit or powering through a Power Hour, but she’s always up for trying something new. When Pam first walked through our doors, she was looking for a solid kickboxing class… and she found so much more. She overcame her nerves, found her gym bestie, and quickly became part of the SIN community. From there, she dove into classes, challenges, and everything we had to offer, winning a 6-week challenge thanks to her hard work and dedication! Pam is proof that consistency and community make all the difference. How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?

 

I have been coming to SIN since Sept 2022.

 

Do you remember your first workout?

 

My first workout was Kick-Fit with Coach Pat. I was looking for a gym with a good kickboxing class and this class didn’t disappoint. I was very nervous and a bit shy but Coach Pat and all the people in the class were so welcoming. I knew for sure I wanted to come back.

 

How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now?

 

My lifestyle before SIN wasn’t the healthiest physically or mentally.  Although I was somewhat active, I wasn’t motivated to really work out or eat healthy. I had no stamina or strength and generally didn’t feel good.  I knew I needed to change something, or I was heading for some health issues.

I was still skeptical when I first joined SIN that I would stick to it or want to push myself. After meeting so many great people here (especially my gym bestie), it gave me to push I needed to try different classes and to keep coming back. To try the challenges and participate in all things SIN. I feel great and I’m able to do things I haven’t been able to do before.  I feel so much stronger and healthier now that I’ve made my health a priority.

 

If you could describe your perfect workout, what would it be? 

 

My perfect workout would be anything that’s fun and challenging.  Which is most of what SIN offers.  I haven’t had a bad workout yet! 

 

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?

 

The advice I would give to anyone is to just do it even if it feels intimidating at first. The members and coaches are all so friendly and motivating. Try out a few classes and you’ll quickly find one you like.   Never be afraid to modify your workouts if you need to. The coaches here are amazing at showing you what you CAN do!  They offer so many other programs as well. Something for everyone!
