Member of the Month for December goes out to Heather Iaderosa! Heather joined SIN in April 2024 and has been on an incredible upward climb ever since. Her progress has been huge, and her commitment shows in everything she does. She’s active, consistent, and always ready to jump into whatever we have going on: challenges, Fight Nights, Trivia Nights and more. We’ve also gotten to know her family along the way, as she’s brought her daughter and husband into the SIN community. That alone says so much about the trust she has in what we do and how much she believes in the power of this place. Heather has truly made SIN her second home, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her as part of our community. Her dedication, positivity, and willingness to dive into anything make her so deserving of Member of the Month. Congratulations, Heather! Keep shining and keep showing up, we’re so proud of you! 💪❤️💥🥊🏋🏻♂️❤️💪How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness? A little over a year and a half, I joined late April 2024. Do you remember your first workout? Absolutely, it was a Monday Night Triple A class. I was nervous as it had been over 2 years since I worked out or took a group fitness class. I distinctly remember everyone was so encouraging and welcoming. How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now? Before joining SIN Fitness, my lifestyle was largely sedentary. I was overweight, inactive, and lacked motivation, though I had just begun my journey toward better health. My body felt tight, my hips were locked, and my mobility was very limited. Since becoming part of SIN, everything has changed: I’ve grown stronger (I even accomplished my first pull-up!), developed muscle definition, and achieved a more toned physique. I can now sit cross-legged, something I couldn’t do before. I’m healthier overall: I sleep better, have more energy, and genuinely look forward to attending classes. Bonus had to buy a new wardrobe having lost almost 40lbs and dropping 6 sizes! If you could design your perfect workout what would it be? Wow that’s a tough one. The perfect workout for me focuses on full-body strength training, hitting every major muscle group. I’d start with summersault squats (my absolute favorite) then move into RDLs and kettlebell sumo squat pulses. Upper body would include pull-ups, bent-over rows, cheat hammer curls, incline dumbbell presses, and skull crushers. To finish, I’d incorporate core work with hollow holds and weighted planks for a strong, balanced burn. What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness? Be patient with yourself: there will be days when you feel strong and others when you feel less so. Setbacks are normal, and that’s okay, as long as you keep showing up and staying consistent. My second piece of advice: try every class you can! You never know which one will become your favorite and keep you motivated.
