April Member of the Month: Valerie Hyde! 👏 Val has been part of SIN Fitness for about 5 years, and her transformation has been awesome. What makes it even better? It’s been built through true consistency over time.  Lately, she’s been absolutely crushing the challenge, dialing in her nutrition and continuing to show up and put in the work every day.

How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness? 

 I started at SIN Fitness in May 2021.

 Do you remember your first workout?

 My first workout was Quick Hits with Pat. I was very nervous. I had never done a kickboxing class before.

 How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now? 

 I joined SIN at the tail end of covid, at a time in my life where I had gained some weight and was less active than I wanted to be. I am more motivated to work out in group classes and decided it was time to get back to the gym.  

 Since joining SIN, I have developed a consistent workout routine, focused on my nutrition, and slowly gotten into better shape.  It’s taken a while, but I’ve gradually increased my weights and pushed myself to do things out of my comfort zone.  All the coaches have been super encouraging and helpful with my form and modifications when needed.

 If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?

 My favorite workouts are ygig formats or partner chippers with my awesome workout partner Nancy!  And I do miss punch n crunch.

 What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness? 

 My advice would be to sign up for a class.  The coaches are incredibly encouraging.  The variety of workouts allows you to keep challenging yourself in new ways.  Focus on showing up consistently rather than being perfect, and be patient – progress comes with time and effort.

 What’s a win you’re most proud of since starting at SIN?

 The win I’m most proud of is the combination of building consistency, increasing my strength and endurance, and proving to myself I’m capable of more than I thought.
