Member of the Month for June is Brianne Binge! This month we're excited to recognize Brianne for her incredible consistency and dedication. If you've been around SIN for any amount of time, you've probably seen her name on the Workout Warriors list month after month! Brianne is a true part of our community. Whether it's Team Competitions, trivia nights, Hell Week, Fight Nights, fundraisers, or other events, she's always willing to jump in, support others, and be involved. In class, she shows up ready to work, puts in the effort, and continues to get stronger with every passing month. It's been awesome watching her progress and seeing the results of all her hard work. Brianne, thank you for being such a positive part of the SIN community. We appreciate your consistency, your support, and the example you set by showing up and putting in the work. I have been a member at SIN since October 2022. How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now? I was never really an athlete as a child or in high school and I had struggled with my weight since I was a tween. So, I had tried countless video workouts through the years, but was just never consistent. Then after my 2nd child was born, I belonged to LA Fitness for a few years and really liked the classes there but never got back into working out after my 3rd child was born. So, a few years later, I knew it was time to do something for myself, and I knew I needed this when I joined SIN. I was such a busy mom working full time and schlepping kids everywhere and I was really in denial how out of shape I was despite being so busy. I could barely do a sit up and so many things that are easy for me now were so hard back then. Three and a half years later, I am still a really busy working mom, but I make sure I am taking care of myself and not just putting my kids before me all the time. Working out at SIN has become such an important part of my routine and besides fitness, helps me manage my stress, anxiety and build self-confidence. If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be? That's hard because I like so many different types of workouts and that's why I like SIN so much because the workouts are always different which keeps things interesting. I do really like a nice mix of AMRAP's, Tabatas and EMOMs though and a little bit of everything dumbbells, kettle bells, and body weight stuff. My favorite workouts are the holiday workouts where it's a bunch of different workouts rolled into one and we move from room to room. What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness? I would tell them to just rip the band aid off and give it a try and to not be intimidated because everyone works at their own pace, there are modifications for everything, and the coaches and other members are there to help and support you. I had been scoping out SIN for years and finally took the advice of my neighbor Christine Harvey and wished I had joined way before I did. SIN is so much more than just a gym. I have come so far on my fitness journey, but I have also participated in the team comp, trivia, kick boxing showdown, hell week and a bunch of the challenges. I have pushed myself and done things I never thought I could do and learned so much about fitness and nutrition. And I am in better shape and stronger at 45 than I was at 35! What’s a win you’re most proud of since starting at SIN? I was always terrified to do box jumps and never thought I would be able to do them. I had been a member of SIN for a little over a year and had only been back a few weeks after having my breast reduction surgery and I just randomly got the courage to do them and have been doing them ever since. What keeps you coming back on the days you don’t feel like it? I actually have the opposite problem and can be really bad about taking rest days. But once in a while, I have a day where I am just not feeling it for one reason or another and I always show up anyway and am always glad I did. I know the late cancellation is only $10, but I won't ever cancel late, and I like that policy because it's always kept me accountable.
