Congratulations to our August Member of the Month, Kate Ainsworth! For nearly two years, Kate has been a true example of what consistency and hard work can accomplish. She has become incredibly strong, crushing unassisted pull-ups, continuing to increase her weights, and proving that showing up pays off. Along the way, she's also made great progress with her nutrition, lost weight, and looks amazing. What makes Kate even more deserving of this recognition is the person she is. She's always encouraging others, inspires both our members and coaches, and is an active part of the SIN Fitness community. Whether she's participating in team competitions, joining us for trivia nights, or helping with events like In a Heartbeat, Kate is always willing to get involved. Kate, thank you for your positivity, dedication, and the example you set every day. We're so proud of everything you've accomplished, and we're lucky to have you as part of the SIN Fitness family. Congratulations, you've earned it!❤️💪💥🏋🏻♂️❤️ #memberofthemonth #sinfitfam #sinfit #sinfitness #sinstrong #juststromg #berlinct #itsallinberlin How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness? I have been coming to SIN for almost 2 years. I started right at the beginning of my school year because it felt like the fresh start I needed. How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness? How would you describe it now? Before coming to SIN, I regularly worked out about 3-4 times a week. I took group fitness classes, but I never, EVER considered the weights I was using or tried to improve my overall strength. After coming to SIN, that little notebook changed everything for me. I now keep track of my weights and feel driven to get stronger. If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be? I don't think I could create one perfect workout, but my perfect week of workouts includes a variety of classes. I love taking Build, PowerHour, Rock & Row, Yoga and Strength 360. Mixing it up is important for me so I don't get bored or complacent. I also love classes that include stations. What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness? If someone was thinking of starting at SIN, I would tell them not to be scared. I was really nervous before joining and made sure Joanna Szewczyk was going to be in my first class with me. Once I got there, everyone was so nice. I left that first class thinking I had nothing to be nervous about. What’s a win you’re most proud of since starting at SIN? Last year in June, I did my first unassisted pull-up that Emma got on video. I was so excited that I had finally accomplished something I had been working towards in Power Hour, and I was so proud to show my family the video clip. After having a little tooooooooo much fun last summer, I lost that pull-up and was so disappointed in myself. It took months to get it back again, but now I can do 2 unassisted pull-ups. Emma describes it perfectly when she says it's a pull-up journey! What keeps you coming back on the days you don’t feel like it? It's the people that keep me coming back on the days I don't feel like it! The coaches are all so motivating, helpful and fun. I regularly pair up with Meredith in classes. We hold each other accountable, push each other and encourage each other. It's easy to cancel a class when no one is expecting you to be there. I feel like at SIN I've finally found my place.
