Megan is always pushing herself to use heavier weights and always encourages those around her. Last team challenge we had a last minute cancellation and she jumped at the opportunity to compete in the challenge and killed it.
The day before we shut down we had put the announcement on Facebook that we were ordered to shut down and even though Megan had already done Bootcamp that morning she showed up for KickFit that night. She knew she had to get it in before the shutdown.
The shutdown has not slowed her down at all, she has continued to inspire us with her workout videos at home and always with a smile.
Keep crushing Meg! 💪🏻🔥🏋🏻♀️❤️
How long have you been coming to Strength in Numbers?
About 10 months. I joined SIN in June of 2019.
Do you remember your first workout?
Surprisingly, not really. What I do remember is that it was a Saturday bootcamp class and Kaylee was there to offer support and walk me through everything. I remember the energy of the class was high and that I enjoyed the workout. I was hooked right away!
How would you describe you lifestyle before Strength in Numbers? How would you describe it now?
Before SIN, I was a member at the Edge for 2 years and wasn’t in love with the classes they offered. It was difficult to find my motivation to get in my workouts and I could easily snooze my alarm to miss a morning class. I was not progressing with lifting weights and felt bored on an elliptical for any amount of time. I’m pretty sure I would struggle doing a burpee and never knew what a push up negative was. I knew that there was something in my life that was missing.
Since joining SIN, I look forward to getting up in the morning and sometimes it’s just to see everyone, knowing that we are showing up for each other. If I am feeling up to it, I have made it to 6 classes a week because I love how these workouts make me feel. I continue to try and lift heavier and have noticed an increase in both my weights I’m lifting and endurance since starting at SIN. Sometimes it’s more than just the number on the scale!!
If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
This is a tough question because I have enjoyed so much! I really love 10k your way and YGIG, so I would want to combine those. Anything that involves working together and having fun, is perfect for me.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at Strength in Numbers?
Come try a class, you have nothing to lose! The camaraderie of this gym makes it all worth it. You will be given the chance to push yourself harder than you have before with so much support around you. You will notice positive changes not only physically, but mentally, too. The coaches are very supportive to anyone of any skill level and will make sure exercises are tailored to your fitness level. This gym was exactly what I was looking for and I am so grateful I found it. I haven’t even been here a year yet and I can already say it’s changing my life for the better. 🙂
