How long have you been coming to Strength in Numbers?
Since September 2019.
Do you remember your first workout?
It was a boot camp class that was outside in the parking lot at the previous location. I remember being so nervous and grateful that Kim Stein was taking the class with me. As soon as I got there the coaches and members instantly welcomed me and provided a sense of belonging. I was on a trial pass for that work out and came home immediately afterwards to tell my husband I needed to join this gym!
How would you describe your lifestyle before Strength in Numbers? How would you describe it now?
How would you describe it now? Prior to Strength In Numbers, I thought I had no time to incorporate working out into my schedule. With working full time, taking classes, having children involved in sports and other extracurricular activities, I thought my personal life was maxed out and used that as my excuse as to why I was not working out as often as I wish I had.
My lifestyle still involves working full time, taking classes, having children even more involved in sports and activities, as well as coaching, but I find time to always get a work out in. I have started making healthier choices when it comes to my nutrition as well. I have realized that you need to put time aside for yourself each day in order to be your best self. Plus, the amazing coaches, members, and workouts make it pretty addicting to want to show up to the gym each day!
If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
One of the reasons why I love this gym so much is that I don’t have to design my workouts and you all do the thinking for me! You are much better at it than I would be on my own! J My favorite workouts are typically AMRAPs that incorporate both cardio and strength.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at Strength in Numbers?
You’re going to love it! The hardest part is showing up, but once you are there it is worth it! The coaches design your workout, work with you to teach you proper form, and encourage you to perform your best. Their membership experience is unique in the sense of belonging to a small community where everyone is welcomed and members motivate others throughout the class or utilizing their Facebook platform. Once you are there, stick with it, try all of the different classes offered, break out of your “comfort zone”, and track your workouts to see your progress.
