Kristen is a very active member at SIN. She participates in team competitions, after darks, trivia night and fitness challenges where she always gives 100%.
She reaches out to every new person in class and makes him/her feel welcome. Kristen has brought people to join SIN and continues encourage them, she is a true leader. She interacts with all members, she is so much fun, and is typically the loudest voice (and likes it that way😉). She lights up the room with her positive energy, lifts the entire class & motivates everyone.
She has showed great progress since she started and is always willing to try new things and challenge herself. She has stepped out of her comfort zone and taking more Bootcamp classes. She enjoyed Kick-Fit so much she even bought her own bag to have at home so she could continue during quarantine.
We are so lucky to have her as part of our SIN Family. Kristen is genuinely a kind person and a true Bad Ass! ❤️💪🏻🔥🏋️♀️🥊🥊🥊
How long have you been coming to Strength in Numbers?
I have been coming to Strength in Numbers for a little over a year now.
Do you remember your first workout?
My first workout was bootcamp with Alisha. She was so welcoming. I was super nervous but I had Kaylee shadowing me that day and she made me feel super comfortable. I loved that everyone was so encouraging and supportive. Everyone cheered you on throughout the workout I knew right away that I would be back!
How would you describe you lifestyle before Strength in Numbers? How would you describe it now?
My lifestyle before Strength in Numbers was that of a typical working mom, with very little time devoted to myself and it showed both inside and out.
My lifestyle now is completely different! I focus on my health and well being more now and it has benefitted my whole family. I make it priority to head to the gym and the support I get there makes it such an uplifting experience. I have learned balance. There are amazing people at SIN that keep me motivated and inspired. I love supporting everyone in class with words of encouragement and a high five. An added bonus of the at home challenges during quarantine was my kids love working out with me and I hope that they are inspired to keep exercising as a focus throughout their lives.
If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
A badass Kickfit workout of course! When you find something that motivates, inspires, and challenges you during every workout, why not do it all time! I love mixing technique, speed, and power together to get an incredible workout! It is also the best stress relief on the planet!
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at Strength in Numbers?
My advice is to jump in with both feet! Try new classes and step out of your comfort zone! I had never done kickboxing before SIN and the coaches encouraged me to try it. The coaches at SIN are amazing and the members are so supportive! If SIN has taught me anything, it is not how you finish but that you finish. If you are ever in class with me, feel free to sing, dance, and laugh and know we get through the workouts together! SIN STRONG!
