September Member of the Month is Janice Drescher! Janice has made so much progress since joining SIN Fitness, and it’s no surprise when you see the hard work and consistency she puts in! We spend a lot of time talking about working hard. Push yourself. Add another rep. Pick up a heavier weight. Finish strong. And yes, challenging yourself is an important part of getting better. Our Check in for Charity for September and October is Benhaven Academy, a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of SIN members Kari Sassu and Yana Strevens, whose sons attend the school. What makes Benhaven special is the way students are truly met where they are and supported by caring staff who recognize their individual strengths, encourage their goals, and help them grow academically and socially on their own terms. Congratulations to our August Member of the Month, Kate Ainsworth! For nearly two years, Kate has been a true example of what consistency and hard work can accomplish. She has become incredibly strong, crushing unassisted pull-ups, continuing to increase her weights, and proving that showing up pays off. July Member of the Month: Victor Morrone! Victor has been part of the Strength in Numbers family since the very beginning, and we’re excited to recognize him as our July Member of the Month! Victor returned to SIN during our Paramedic Fitness Program as the Lieutenant who brought his crew in to train with us. When the program ended, he stuck with it and we’re so glad he did. Check in for Charity: Scottie's Christmas in July

Scottie’s Christmas in July supports the Child Life Program at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, a donation-based program that helps children from newborn through age 18 cope with treatments, procedures, and hospital stays through play, education, and support. This cause is especially meaningful to SIN member Jana Menta. In 2016, Jana’s husband received chemotherapy treatments at Smilow Cancer Hospital. During his treatments, they regularly saw children courageously battling cancer and other illnesses, inspiring Jana to find a way to help.
