Their Mission: “The Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut leads the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures and save lives.”
On January 1, 2018, Louis had his first seizure at 8 months old. For the next year and half, after each seizure their son had, Adam and Gabby would fight with doctors demanding more testing. Finally, after suffering two seizures within 10 hours of each other, the doctors gave Louis an EEG that confirmed he has Epilepsy.
Louis is now on medicine twice a day to control his seizures, and has an emergency medication just in case seizures last longer than 4 minutes. He will never be able to play certain sports, go for a bike ride, or go swimming by himself, but he still has a bright future ahead of him and continues to be a loving and crazy two-year-old!
