Carly has transformed in every aspect within the last year since joining SIN. When she started, movements didn’t come naturally to her but she kept attending classes and practicing movements at home. She has always had such a great attitude and is receptive to all feedback for improvements. Now movements that she struggled with in the past are second nature to her.
She brings a positive energy to every class and always pushes herself to be the best she can be. Carly attends a wide variety of classes from Bootcamp, HIIT, Kick-Fit to yoga. Even with her demanding schedule working in the school system and attending classes herself, she is always so consistent.
We love having her in class, she brings such a positive vibe, pushes those around her and cheers on their achievements. It has been truly amazing to watch her push through discomfort and grow!

How long have you been coming to Strength in Numbers?
I joined SIN in October 2020 after my great friend Susan Hilerio, recommended her gym that she teaches yoga at. Sue told me all about the variety of awesome classes that SIN has to offer.
My first class that I took at the old SIN was yoga with Sue. I learned that yoga means to let go of the limits we set on ourselves, including mentally and physically. Yoga is also how you allow yourself to release any worries, stress, and doubts.
Do you remember your first workout?
Yes, I remember my first two workouts at the old SIN. Triple A with Emily and Kick-Fit with Clare. This was my first Triple A class and Kick-Fit class, and I remember the coaches and everyone in the class was really nice and supportive. In my Triple A class, we were holding a minute plank, and I remember all I could hold in my plank, was 30 seconds, and Emily told me each time I hold my plank, I'll get stronger and stronger. I can now hold a plank for a minute! The coaches feedback was very helpful and encouraging during my workout. I love how the coaches really help you reach your fitness goals!
How would you describe you lifestyle before Strength in Numbers? How would you describe it now?
Life Before SIN Fitness?
My lifestyle before SIN Fitness was walking daily and exploring new places to hike. I enjoy being outdoors in the sunshine. I was a member at Planet Fitness for about a year or so, and joining Plant Fitness did not benefit me much. I felt that there wasn't any support or motivation to encourage me to workout and use the different machines. I also didn't have much experience with weights and how to properly lift weights, without hurting myself. The atmosphere at Planet Fitness also was not very welcoming and friendly, and everyone seemed to keep to themselves. I was looking for a change and allowing myself to practice more self-care.
My life since joining SIN Fitness?
Since being a member at SIN Fitness, I am now part of a fitness family, with an encouraging and supportive team! It is so amazing to see how everyone encourages each another, and we all inspire each other to become stronger physically and mentally. The supportive and dedicated coaches, make it possible for me to show up to each class and they provide you with the personal attention you deserve to get your workout done! The feedback is great to have from the coaches, they show me how to properly lift, use the equipment, stay motivated, and never quit until I reach my fitness goals!
If you could design your perfect workout what would it be?
This question is a tough one for me because I honestly enjoy every workout class! I love challenging myself in Kick-Fit, Bootcamp, HIIT, Yoga, and Triple A. I am getting stronger with Rowing now, and I will add on Rock n' Row to my workouts! I also love when SIN Fitness gets together on holidays, for our holiday bootcamps! I love being able to get a variety of workout done in each room, and with different coaches!
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at Strength in Numbers?
I would encourage anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness to get out of your comfort zone and join! A little progress each day, adds up to big results! Fitness is more than just our physical well-being, it also contributes to your spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being. It is the time that you take for yourself and dedicate an hour of self-care working out. SIN Fitness will offer you a variety of classes, a strong fitness family, and supportive coaches who will push you to reach your limits and goals. You will look forward to working out and leaving feeling proud of what you just did for yourself! If it doesn't challenge you, it won't change you!
