How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness?
I really don’t know how long I’ve been at SIN I think it has been 3 years. I remember some aspects of my first workout. I believe Alisha was the coach and we were doing weighted situps. More importantly I remember the back room where everyone was changing shoes and socializing. The previous class was getting ready to leave as the incoming class was getting ready for their workout. It seemed hectic but the atmosphere was so friendly. People leaving were chatting with people arriving and I felt very comfortable.

How would you describe your lifestyle before SIN Fitness?
About 2 years before SIN I decided to get off the couch where I had been for about 8 years due to a DVT blood clot that messed up my leg. I had surgery to fix the circulation and then jumped off that couch. I started going to Planet Fitness and then joined a gym in Newington. When the trainer their told me the throw up in a bucket while I did my burpees I thought it was time for a new place. Thank God for SIN.

If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be?
I love the weights but I know I need the cardio also. So my perfect workout would be mostly weights and cardio that doesn’t mess with my knees. And no Burpees!

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of starting at SIN Fitness?
My advice to anyone new is to keep coming. I remember my first workout after getting off the couch. Everything hurt the next day including my toes. But it got better relatively quickly. Also I would tell someone new to the gym that they don’t have to go heavy on the weights.
