Every two months we choose a local charity we believe genuinely helps those in need, or a charity that is close to the heart of one of our members. For the next two months we donate 50¢ every time a member checks-in on Facebook when they arrive at “SIN”, and this program does not cost them anything!
The Check in For Charity focus for the months of November and December will be for the Town of Berlin Holiday Assistance Program
Your check-ins will make a difference in the holidays of many people in our community so be sure to Check-in!
The past two years have been very challenging for so many families due to COVID and the hardships it has caused on our community. The Holiday Assistance Program assists local families, seniors, and other citizens in need.
Our September/October, 2021 Check in for Charity will support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
EVERY FACEBOOK CHECK IN HELPS!
In 1987, a small group of caring individuals had a vision: to establish a private source of support for suicide research and education, so that essential suicide prevention efforts could be sustained into the future.
Our July/August, 2021 Check in for Charity will support Spencer’s Hero Academia.
Spencer Paul Tracy was diagnosed with AML, a rare and aggressive form of Leukemia at age 15. After a series of treatments and a subsequent stem cell transplant, Spencer developed life threatening respiratory complications and passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2020, at the age of 18.
Our May/June, 2021 Check in for Charity supported For Goodness Sake.
For the months of May and June, SIN Fitness had 805 check-ins and will be donating $403 to For Goodness Sake! You make a difference just by checking-in! Thank you!
For Goodness Sake is an organization that makes homes for the formerly homeless. Founded in 2013, this group partners with agencies and community providers to help people in Central Connecticut who are making the transition to independent living and are in need due to certain life situations. Every weekend, volunteers come together to provide beds, furniture and household goods to families that have nothing.
