Sam has been coming to SIN for over a year and has made amazing progress both physically and mentally! She was going through a hard time in her personal life when she started and instead of making a bad situation worse, she turned to fitness and worked through it. How long have you been coming to SIN Fitness!?
I remember my first day like it was yesterday! It was October 14th, 2019 and as soon as the class was over, I knew I was definitely going to be an unlimited member and this gym was the best!
Do you remember your first workout?
I can remember bits and pieces of the workout and Kaylee being there with me making sure I felt comfortable and showing me how to do the correct moves. I remember bench pressing for the first time and learning moves I’ve never done before! I knew this place was going to challenge me which is something I really needed at the time.
How would you describe your lifestyle before Strength and Numbers? How would you describe it now?!
Right before joining SIN Fitness, I was going through a very rough time of going through the process of divorce from a person a thought I could trust and would forever be with. My life was completely turned upside down and I needed something in my life that was going to help me become a strong person. It’s all thanks to Jennifer Kern for talking about this place called SIN Fitness and how this place was amazing! She inspired me to join the gym and I am forever grateful to her for that! She has helped me through some dark times and going to the gym with her and being by my side through everything being my cheerleader! I have met some of the most amazing, bad ass women at this gym who have helped me find my inner strength and push me to my hardest. Not only physically but mentally! The gym is so important for the mind body and soul. As the new year starts, I hope to continue to become stronger not just physically but mentally as well.
If you could design your perfect workout, what would it be?
If I could create the prefect workout it would either be a team workout like an AMRAP of some sort because I love how hard we all work together when we workout or some kind of YGIG! I love in YGIG how when you work with your partner you push each other to do your best while one is resting and the other is pushing themselves to their best limit!!!! I absolutely love that! And there would be different stations and everybody would rotate to the next station and there would most definitely have to be a burpee station lol because everybody loves to do burpees 😉
What advice do you give to anyone thinking of starting SIN Fitness!?
What are you waiting for!!!! It’s the best gym out there with amazing people who coach and people who workout there!!!! These classes may seem intimidating at first, but I have watched myself grow in so much in strength in endurance I never thought I would be able to do what I’m doing today if I never started! And I just want to give a big shout out to Jamie and Ryan and all the amazing coaches.... you have all inspired me and helped me through some tough times and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
